I don't even know

So I've only made it into chapter 10 of the book, an so far the book is readable but I'm not really connecting with it on an intellectual level. To me the story is just about this high school kid who hates life and loves to bitch about anything an everything he can,pretty much the life of a regular teenager right?

chapter 4

Chapter 4 starts off with Holden describing Stradlater a little more in depth as he sits in the bathroom watching Stradlater shave. Stradlater asks Holden to do his paper then moving on from the question Holden asks Stradlater who's his date an nearly had a heart attack. Holden then goes from there an explains how he knows Jane Gallagher.

• In ch 3.- out of Africa for shadows him leavingleaving, return to the native forshadows him going back to his natural ways,human bondage forshadows his return home, holden says he hates phoneys but he's always lieing, Holdens really sarcastic because he's barrying the rest of his emotions, critizes Spencer for using the word chonier then uses it on Ackley thinking he's better than him like he felt Spencer felt towards him
• In ch 4.-  holden critizies stradler harsher in the beginning of the book, holden likes June on a personal level, the fact that holden did stradlers homework must mean he doesn't hate him as much as he leads on an he's also a puch over
• In ch5.- Holden gets into a snowball fight, Ackley acompanys mail an Holden to the movies then brags about getting laid, Holden does stradlers homework in his brothers baseball glove, we learn Holdens got feelings by him talking about his brother
• In ch 6.- we get more in depth with Holdens feelings because of the fight over Jane, the argument between strdler an Holden shows friendship between the two
• In ch 7.- to escape stradler after the fight holden goes an pestures Ackley, holden feel lonesome an sad, holden talked to Ackley about what it took to be Catholics an then used the terms god damn an for Christ sakes, then Holden makes plans to stay in a hotel till his return home
• In ch 8.- holden takes a train after the fight then a lady sits next to him an they talk about her son an pency, holden tells the lady he's got a brain tumor an she invites him  to stay with her that summer
• In ch 13.- Holdens walking back to his hotel thinking to him self if he'd steal or not but he wouldn't cause he's a coward, holden doesn't care about losing shit, so holden feels like shit an drinks a bottle of whiskey gets asked if he wants to get a prostitute an then chickens out

chapter 7

Chapter 7 is just the interaction between Ackley an Holden after the fight between Holden an Stradlater. An the Holdens thoughts about Stardlater. Then we end the chapter with Holden packing an heading on his way out a school.

chapter 6

Chapter 6 starts off with Holden complaining about Stradatler coming home from his date then they get into it because of the paper Holden wrote for Stradlater. Holden tried to punch Stradlater an wound up getting pined.

chapter 5

In chapter 5 you start off with a Saturday night dinner then you are introduced to Mal an get invited Agerstown for a burger an maybe a lousy movie then because of Holden's niceness  you get more of Ackley's disgusting annoyingness to shortly be introduced to Allie Holden's brother.

The first chapter is a young man talking to us about his life an his isolation of watching the biggest game of the year trying to get some sort of good by for he was getting kicked out of the school he was attending without telling us his whole autobiography an all that 'David Copperfield kinda crap'...

The second chapter is the introduction of Mr.Spencer Holdens very old history teacher an the interaction between the two
